The Creative Block
I have had a creative block for... over a year now. There has been nothing that excites me to create anything. This summer, I plan on trying to get some things out, but I want a theme. The problem is figuring out what that theme will be. It's going to drive me crazy. I need to be dedicated to this, because I want a new body of work for my website.
I haven't really created any significant work since I left college. I haven't painted with my oils since then either. Not even acrylic either. I think I got burned out, and after being rejected, I think I just pushed it all away, to be honest.
So, the question is...

So, the question is...
- What, or who, am I inspired by?
- What kind of artwork do I want to make?

Sketchbook Project: LE update
I'm sending off my Sketchbook Project: Limited Edition tomorrow. VERY last minute! I did about 8 spread in it today! I think it's turned out nicely.
I decided to use my theme, "Distance and time" to record the meals (or lack there of) at any given moment. I documented what I ate, and them wrote the distance from home in miles and the time at which I was eating the meal.
I like it.
Yesterday's breakfast with T at Cracker Barrel. It was delicious! |
I like it.
